Charles E. Lindquist

Charles E. Lindquist, son of Ralph and Mabel Lindquist, graduated from Burlington (Iowa) High School, Class of 1940.

 

Charles entered the service in January 1942 and was in the European Theater of Operations since June 1944, where he was assigned as a radio-gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress.  In a War Department telegram, Charles’ mother was informed that he was listed as Missing-In-Action over Germany on 2 November 1944.

 

Technical Sergeant Charles E. Lindquist, United States Army Air Forces, was buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

 

Among his awards and decorations is the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
