Charles Thomas Koger

Charles, the son of Claud and Edna Lincoln Koger, was born on 15 September 1948, in Burlington, Iowa.  He was killed in a jeep accident at Camp Drum, New York on 8 September 1970.

 

Charles graduated from Burlington High School, Class of 1968.  He joined the United States Army in January 1969.

 

At the time of his death, Charles was survived by his parents; two sisters; Carol Magdefrau and Norma Koger, both from Burlington; and three brothers; Larry, John, and Clarence, all of Burlington.

 

Private First Class Charles Thomas Koger, United States Army, was buried with full military honors in Burlington’s Aspen Grove Cemetery.

 

Charles was a boy everyone liked and he enjoyed life to the fullest.  He is dearly missed by his family.
