Paul Eugene Ebert, the son of Albert W. and Ella Ebert, was born on 26 September 1917.

Paul graduated from Burlington (Iowa) High School, Class of 1936.

He married the former Lois Ann Nau of Burlington.  From this marriage they had one son, Thomas Paul.

In early 1945, Paul became ill and was eventually hospitalized on 9 March 1945, in Paris, France.  On 12 May he was brought back to the States and placed in U. S. Army Air Force Hospital in Fort Logan, Colorado.  Paul died on 10 July 1945 from bacterial endocarditis

Paul was survived by his wife, son, and father.

Sergeant Paul Eugene Ebert, United States Army Air Force, was buried in Burlington’s Aspen Grove Cemetery.
